The president will address voters at the Reflecting Pool on Monday, a strategic shift from his recent focus on conservative-state rallies.

President Donald Trump plans to deliver a midterm "closing argument" speech at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington on Monday. The announcement marks a distinct change in his campaign strategy, moving away from a month of touring largely conservative regions.
White House officials confirmed the event for Monday afternoon. Sources familiar with the preparations stated that the address will focus on the upcoming elections. Trump is also expected to discuss his renovation projects in the capital, specifically noting the reopening of the Reflecting Pool.
The location choice follows a brief interaction with reporters during a Sunday rally in Iowa. As he deplaned from Air Force One, Trump mentioned the site to demonstrate its beauty. He suggested the speech might occur the following day but did not provide specific details at that time.
This approach departs from the president's recent schedule, which included more than 25 rallies. The Associated Press reported that these events aimed to help the Republican Party overcome low approval ratings. Polls indicate that factors such as the Iran war, high energy prices, and rising cost of living may benefit Democratic candidates on election night.
The Reflecting Pool address represents one of the final chances for Trump to pitch his message to prospective voters before the polls open.
