Vanessa Trump announced on Friday that recent medical tests showed she is free of breast cancer. The 48-year-old shared the update in a short video posted to the Instagram account of her daughter, Kai Trump. In the clip, she stated that her results "came back clear, so I'm finally cancer-free." The video serves as a preview for a longer YouTube release scheduled for Saturday.

Trump disclosed her initial diagnosis to the public in May. She had been diagnosed in April and reported undergoing surgery at that time. She said she was working with her medical team on a treatment plan. The announcement comes during October, which is designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Kai Trump, 19, posted the video alongside a caption explaining the context. She wrote that the segment addresses early detection, education, and support for those affected by the disease. Kai Trump said she sat down with her mother and Dr. Nicole Saphier to discuss prevention. The post received more than 20,000 likes and hundreds of comments, including messages from singer and media personality Mary Millben.

According to the American Cancer Society, the average risk of a woman in the US developing breast cancer is about 1 in 8, or 13%. The group reports that the disease accounts for 30% of all new female cancers each year. Most breast cancers are cured by surgery. When some disease remains, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and endocrine therapy can lower the long-term risk. Treatments continue to advance with more targeted therapies for early breast cancer, new types of hormonal therapy, and more precise radiotherapy.

Vanessa Trump separated from Donald Trump Jr. in 2018. They have five children together. Last year, she announced that she had begun dating professional golfer Tiger Woods.
