Fi has lowered the price of its satellite-connected pet trackers by 30 percent through October 25. Shoppers who enter the coupon code SCARY at checkout will pay $209.30 for the Fi Ultra GPS. This price matches the device's original launch cost.
The discount applies to several models in the company's lineup. The Fi Ultra features an IP68 rating, making it fully waterproof in saltwater. Battery life extends up to five days, though this varies based on the animal's activity level. The unit attaches to a collar or harness and uses a combination of LTE, GPS, and Starlink satellite coverage to locate pets. It functions even in areas without cellular service. The device can also play sounds and vibrate to attract a pet's attention.
Fi markets the Ultra as the first dog tracker to combine T-Satellite, Starlink, GPS, and LTE technologies. The Verge tested the device in a remote area of South Carolina earlier this year. While tracking proved precise, the two to three minute update interval posed challenges for fast-moving dogs. Battery performance in Lost Mode was shorter, lasting only two days on a full charge. The size of the unit makes it better suited for larger dogs.
Users must maintain an active subscription to access tracking features. Fi offers discounted rates for the first term and provides six-month, one-year, and two-year plans with lower monthly costs. The one-year plan costs $99 for the initial year and $189 for each subsequent year. Service is available only in the United States, with no satellite coverage in Alaska.
Amazon is also running sales on other consumer electronics and games. A physical copy of Kirby Air Riders for the Nintendo Switch 2 is priced at $48.99, a drop from its standard $69.99 tag. The JLab JBuds Talk USB-C microphone is available for $24.99, down from a usual range of $50 to $100. The mic supports four directional modes and a 96KHz/24-bit sample rate. Lego's Star Wars Grogu set is listed at $103.99, which is $26 below its typical price.
The Lego kit contains 1,200 pieces and depicts Grogu in beskar armor. It includes a satchel for gear or snacks. Builders can swap arms and facial features for different expressions, and a built-in lever allows the head to turn. The Fi promotion ends on October 25.
