Families buying large luxury SUVs in the United States face a new option this week as Ford introduces the 2026 Lincoln Navigator Reserve 4x4. The vehicle enters the market with a base price of $101,995, positioning it as a direct competitor to other high-end American trucks and SUVs. The model arrives with a complete exterior redesign and a major update to its interior technology.

The Navigator is built on a truck-based platform and comes standard with four-wheel drive. Under the hood, it uses a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. This engine connects to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle rides on 22-inch aluminum alloy wheels and is available in colors including Gray Mist Metallic.

Inside the cabin, the most visible change is a 48-inch panoramic display that spans the full width of the dashboard. This screen also functions as a head-up display for the driver. The interior includes front massaging seats, dual-zone climate control, and a large panoramic sunroof. Lincoln includes four years of BlueCruise hands-free highway driving technology as standard equipment on this model.

Automotive reviewer Marc Grasso tested the vehicle for The Aegis. He noted that the Navigator glides smoothly over highway surfaces, comparing the ride quality to sitting on a couch. On winding roads at lower speeds, he observed a sense of security and rigidity from the truck-based chassis. Grasso stated that the interior rework raises the bar for competition against the Cadillac Escalade.

The test vehicle was priced at $112,985 as configured. It achieved a fuel economy of 18.8 miles per gallon in mixed driving. The manufacturer rates the truck at 15 miles per gallon in the city and 22 miles per gallon on the highway. The vehicle is designed to move passengers in comfort while maintaining a modern presence on the road.

The 2026 model year marks a significant update for the Lincoln brand, which Ford positions as its upscale American luxury division. The Navigator Reserve 4x4 aims to provide an unforgettable experience through technology and styling. The vehicle is now available for purchase, with the standard equipment list including the massive dashboard screen and hands-free driving capabilities.
