OnePlus started shipping stable Android 17 updates to the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Pad 4 on October 23, 2026. This launch happened one week before the company’s original October 29 target date. The release marks the first time the company has moved these flagship devices from OxygenOS to ColorOS.
The update arrived first in India, where the software exited its beta phase. OnePlus stated that the new system is built on Android 17. The company described the update as bringing smarter experiences and smoother interactions. It framed the software around the concept of "Flow with AI, Flow Everywhere," aiming to reduce friction when users move between tasks and devices.
OxygenOS will no longer appear on new flagship hardware. The company announced the phase-out of OxygenOS when it scaled back most of its global operations. Existing devices were told they would transition to Oppo’s ColorOS. This change aligns the brand’s software more closely with its parent company, Oppo.
The current rollout covers only the OnePlus 15 and the Pad 4. The company confirmed that other models will receive the update later. The next wave is scheduled for October 30, 2026, and includes the OnePlus 13. Previous generation flagships and various Nord models are also on the list for future updates.
The early launch follows a period of operational changes for the brand. Reports indicated that the OnePlus 15 sold out in the United States after the company reduced its global footprint. OnePlus has also introduced the OnePlus 16, which features a 9,000 mAh battery. The stable update is expected to reach other regions soon, though specific dates beyond the Indian launch and the October 30 follow-up have not been confirmed.
