Ukraine Satellite Speeds Return to 400 km/h
The Ministry of Defence confirmed stable network performance after days of reduced bandwidth disrupted military logistics and drone operations.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed on 24 October that speed limits on Starlink and Starshield satellite systems were lifted by morning. He stated the networks had returned to their pre-restriction operational capacity, providing the bandwidth required for military use.
The recovery began overnight and stabilized by the start of the workday. Zelenskyy identified the restored speeds as critical for frontline logistics and for intercepting jet-powered Shahed drones.
Before the presidential address, the Ministry of Defence recorded speeds exceeding 161 km/h on both systems. The ministry subsequently issued an official confirmation that it was registering speeds above 400 km/h with a stable connection.
The network disruption had lasted several days. Zelenskyy previously reported that equipment in multiple sectors along the line of contact operated at speeds between 130 and 161 km/h. He said this reduction interfered with supply chains and limited the use of drones.
The bandwidth caps drew political scrutiny. US President Donald Trump claimed on 16 October that the White House was not involved in limiting Ukraine's access to the system.
The Telegraph reported that SpaceX CEO Elon Musk proposed the bandwidth restrictions to Trump. The proposal targeted the specific satellite networks used by the Ukrainian military.
